OSP Police Judo Juniors Invitational Collaborative Judo Tournament.

Tournament Site: Odd Squad Production Society ( Police Judo Headquarters)

5487 Lane St. Burnaby BC ( By Royal Oak skytrain station and two blocks off Kingsway and Royal Oak St. )

Time: Sunday, June 30th at 9:00am

Purpose: A judo event invites our club friends, new judo families, and the young novice judoka to participate at a fun and friendly invitational collaborative judo tournament at club setting to gain a positive experience through meeting other judo friends and learning experience from the sport of judo.

Entry Fee: $30.00

Weigh-in: Honor System.
There will be a scale for spot checks should concerns arise. We ask that Club Instructors verify the athlete’s weights. Discrepancies between reported weights and actual weights may result in disqualification without refund.

Eligibility: All competitors must be in good standing with Judo BC prior to the tournament deadline of June 28, 2024 by 11:59pm.
Minimum Rank will be White/Yellow Belt.
Maximum Rank will be Orange-Green Belt. (Green allowed for U14)
White-yellow belt Will start by default in Ne-Waza, (ground work)

Categories for
U8 (2017 & 2018)
U10 (2015 & 2016)
U12 (2013 & 2014)
U14 (2011 & 2012)
U16 (2010 & 2009)

Male and Female categories separate where possible.

U10 & U12 may be mixed gender.

Competitors will be placed in groups up to 5, by age, weight and belt level, as entries permit.

Elimination: Round Robin.
Contest Rules, Match Times and Divisions: As per Judo Canada tournament sanctioning policy. Matches will be officiated and scores called but not recorded. Wins will be recognized.

Every participant will receive a prize and awards will be presented to all competitors! We have a club award and prize for the club with the highest participants!

Entries must be received by 11:59 pm on Wednesday June 28th, so we can make the divisions and distribute them to the coaches for approval before the event.

9-9:15am: Check-in U8
9:15am: Warm up U8
9:30-10:15am: Competition U8 & Awards

10-10:15am: Check-in U10
10:15: Warm up U10
10:30-11:45am: Competition U10 & Awards

11:45-12pm: Check-in U12
12pm: U12 Warmup
12:15-1:30pm: Competition U12 & Awards

1:15-1:30pm: Check-in U14 & U16
1:30pm: Warmup U14/16
1:45-2:45pm: Competition U14/U16 & Awards

2:45pm: Cleaning

U16-U18-U21 can learn to referee!
