Edmonton Judo EmpowerHER:
Join Sensei Alex Gagnon for another exciting judo session of fundamental judo training and inspirational insight on February 16, 2024 at the Tokugawa Judo Club. To become a skillful judoka it is important to master the fundamental movement skills needed for all throwing and ground techniques. Learning the fundamentals can improve a judokas progression in their development.

"Before 2023, the last time Ana Laura Portuondo Isasi participated in an international competition was the 2017 Senior World Championships. She won World Junior Bronze in 2014 and placed fifth in 2013. Ana Laura won her first senior World Cup in 2015 in Buenos Aires and has been Canadian National Champion in all age categories. Unfortunately, she was hampered by multiple concussions and decided to put her judo career on hold. However, she decided to come back to competitive Judo in 2023. She has had a triumphant return so far, winning the Montréal Pan-American Open and competing at the 2024 Portugal Grand Prix."
