Edmonton Judo EmpowerHER:
Edmonton Female Judo Sessions will return be held at the St.Alberta Judo Club from 6:30-8:00 pm

Location: 42C Riel Dr, St. Albert, Alberta
This session will include a chat with 2023 Senior National Champion Isabelle Harris. Isabelle Harris has had a great season winning medals on the Pan-American Judo Tour, a silver medal at the Francophone Games and is representing Canada at the 2023 Pan-Am Games. Isabelle will provide you insight on how she raised up the ranks on the national scene to being part of the national team in Montreal. She will also reflect on how she developed her judo in Abbotsford, BC and what is like dealing with three brothers doing judo.
These sessions will be designed to build a community of female Judoka through fun sport engagement. Sessions will include a Judo warm-up, games, and a speaker or activity. During speaker sessions, current or former female Canadian National Team athletes from various sports will speak virtually regarding how sport empowers them. Anyone who cannot attend the sessions and is interested in hearing from these athletes, including parents, athletes or coaches, is welcome to join virtually. Speakers and links to join the sessions will be announced soon.
While these are not competitive practices, high-performance athletes are welcome to attend! These will be fun practices where competitors will have the opportunity to engage with and inspire beginners.
